A Few Odds and Ends from the Weekend

I love this picture. It's the inside of Claire's office. Yes that is a giant silver bug on the wall. I did not swing around to get a picture of the lime green staircase. When you combine the silver bug and the bright green staircase with the old red brick armory building that has giant black cannons out front you get a wonderful, eclectic place to work.



Now this next picture is taken from the beach back toward the land. The stand of trees is all that prevents you from seeing house we will be using in September. We cant' wait!!


A wonderful five days but we are home and settling in.

The Post Wedding Getaway Interrupted by the Bride and Groom

Our trip to Hilton Head was a post wedding getaway. Martha and I had a great time relaxing in a lovely home and at the part the beach near where we will be in September.
We also got to see David and Claire! Claire came over for the afternoon on Saturday and Mom and I went to Savannah on Sunday night. Claire picked place.

What a great evening. Claire picked a great spot. We got to see where she and David are living and where Claire works. We parked a few blocks away from dinner and had a lovely walk in downtown Savannah. This is where Claire will be working.

Here offices are in the old Armory in Savannah. Very Cool.
Claire and David are doing great, loving life in Savannah and were big fun for dinner and a walk.

Hilton Head Day One

Good evening.
We were here by one, on the beach, groceries bought and all checked in by three.

Mom and I wanted to share some pictures with you all.

This is where we are staying, Bill and Sandy Leonard's Golf Cottage. Our house this summer will NOT be like this one.





However, this is the walk way to the beach from the house we will be staying in this summer. this picture is taken from about a hundred feet fromt the house toward the beach. Mom and I are so excited!

Beck Brushes His Teeth

And I talk incessantly. Why can't I shut my mouth?

I guess I should look on the bright side...that's probably why Vale is so verbal.  Beck on the other hand chooses smile and not say a word.  Deep down, he already knows he's superior to us all in every way.   Why waste his words?

New Furniture

What do you think about my new piece of furniture??





I got it from Ballard Backroom and it has some nicks and smudges but for more than 50% off I think it is a good buy. A lady who works there said Mr. Clean Magic Eraser works wonders in removing smudges from furniture. I will let you know if it works. Also we are planning on moving the mirror that is still behind it. I will post more pics when it is "styled"!

We Love Blueberries

A What??

(Vale on her way to Georgia's "Princess" birthday party. 
She wouldn't wear a dress, but boy did she love to accessorize!)

Tonight, Vale was running around in nothing but her panties.  We asked her to pick something up (and she was obeying!) when all of a sudden she stopped, started grabbing at her undies, and said

"Hold on! I've got a Yankee."

Excuse me?

"Vale," Thomas said, "what did you say?"

"I've got a Yankee!"

"What's a Yankee?

"Stuff up in my bottom." (still picking at her panties.)

"Do you mean a wedgie?"

"Yes! Hold on! I got a wedgie."
